Not your fault (ZoroXReader)

               “Achoo!” your sneeze was quiet and small, but it was enough to stir you from your restfulness. You sat up slightly to see havoc outside the small room as Zoro Sanji were fighting. The tension between them had risen since the incident that both injured you, and got you sick.

               The thousand sunny was filled with clatter and noise as the straw hat pirates made their way through the grand line. You were talking with Robin and Nami when you all heard a fight break out between Zoro and Sanji

               “You damn Moss head!”

               “You shitty cook!”

In a fury of legs and swords they fought, but no one bothered to stop them. You however knew that if they kept this up someone was going to get hurt. You rushed over to the scene as Nami called to you and questioned your motives.

               “That’s enough!” unfortunately that was the last thing you said before being struck by legs and swords into the cold ocean. Nami called out your name along with Robin who attempted to catch you but wasn’t quick enough.

               “(Name)!” Zoro and Sanji called for you, but you had been knocked out cold. Zoro immediately threw his swords down and dove into the waters. Zoro locked on to your form and scooped you from the frigid waters. Once he surfaced, he brought you back to the ship where Sanji immediately swiped you from Zoro’s arms.

               “CHOPPER! CHOPPER (Name) IS HURT!” he cried. Nami immediately took towels to dry you off. Zoro just stood there in shock.

               He had hurt you.

               Badly.

               When the injury however turned into a cold, he beat himself up whenever he could

               Bringing you back to today. You were sick in the girl’s cabin and loathed the alone time you had. Everyone was busy with the things they had to do on the ship. Chopper would scurry in every once in a while along with Sanji with yet another apology soup for ‘Zoro’s actions.’ You began to loath soup and crave attention from your friend. The only problem was that he seemed to avoid you now. He refused to even look at you when you awoke from your bruised state. You wanted to talk to him, however whenever Chopper tried to drag Zoro in he would fail, and you were too afraid to ask Sanji to bring Zoro in as you feared another fight. You pulled the covers up over your head and moaned. You hated being sick with a strict doctor like Chopper.

               “GET. IN. THERE!” you heard Nami yell as the door slammed shut behind a grunt. A small click told you the door had been locked from the outside as well. You look up from your sheets to see the lazy swordsman trying to open the door

               “God damn woman!” he cursed

               “Zoro?” He froze at your voice. His body went cold. “Zoro why haven’t you come and talked to me? I’ve been getting lonely.” You ask him. He hesitantly looked at you before sighing and slowly releasing the door handle. This was so unlike the swordsman that it startled you and scared you a little

               “I’m so sorry (Name)”

               “It’s alright Zoro I just want to know why?”

               “I’m sorry I hurt you… I hurt you really bad, and then you got sick. I didn’t know you were that fragile (Name), I was being stupid and I wasn’t paying attention! I should have seen you there” he beat himself up.

               “Zoro come here.” You ordered. He cautiously moved towards you and you grabbed his wrist before he could escape. “Do you really think it’s all your fault? Is that why you have been avoiding me? Do you really think that every time you are near me now you are going to hurt me?” you grip his wrist tighter now as your other hand grabbed his other wrist. “I am a pirate. Danger is in our contract. What you did was a mistake. I know you never meant to hurt me.” You smiled slightly at him “and besides, I prefer your company over the cook’s any day.” Zoro froze for a little bit before smiling and holding your hands in his.

               “Glad that’s over with then…” he looked at you before advancing “scoot over” you did as you were told and he climbed in with you

               “Really Zoro?” you questioned

               “You wanted my company, so here I am. It just so happens that I was about to take a nap.” He turned to you “You should get some rest too (Name).” you smiled at your lover before kissing his lips and curling up in his arms. You fell asleep relatively quickly, but Zoro heard the banging and screaming of a certain blonde cook at the door. He then heard a whack and then a navigator scolding the blonde. Zoro smiled and held you closer “serves you right for hurting (Name) you damn cook.”
